For Those Who Care...

Memory Park Pet Cemetery

Now with over 55-years of devoted service!

    The six-acre cemetery is situated on gently sloping hills with no more  beautiful place than this to lay-to-rest your faithful friend when their days are over. We are one of the largest and most serene Pet Cemetery in the Midwest accommodating over 3,800 pets thus far with large shade trees and abundant evergreens . Comfortable benches on which to rest are located throughout the cemetery and surrounding the pond.

    All manner of beloved pets are buried here: dogs, cats, parakeets, rabbits, monkeys, turtles, etc. Many blue-blooded prizewinners, who made bench-show history in their time, lie side-by-side with those who boasted no pedigree, for the place is purely democratic.

'Animals are more than ever a test of our character, of mankind's capacity for empathy and for decent, honorable conduct and faithful stewardship.                                                                         We are called to treat them with kindness, not because they have rights or power or some claim to equality, but in a sense because they don't; because all stand unequal and powerless before us.'         ~Matthew Scully

    Beautiful granite monuments surmount many of the graves and the profusion of flowers, always evident, testify that loving masters and mistresses "Remember Them".

    ~~~People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life, like, loving everybody all the time and being nice.
    Well, pets already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.~~~
One monument in particular, was donated by an individual who has several pets located at Memory Park. The touching poem depicts the feelings and thoughts of many admiring its beauty. The other side of the stone displays the famous and moving 'Rainbow Bridge' poem.
    Cremation services are also available with the cremains returned within a few days in a beautiful urn or for burial at the cemetery.
